Spring and Fall Campouts

For many of our members, the May long weekend and the Labour Day weekend mean only one thing: RDDCC Campout at the Hardendell Hall at Cow Lake near Rocky Mountain House!

Because it's a campout, the agenda is definitely low key, but that doesn't mean there aren't lots of activities for the willing.

The competition is usually intense for the 'Fishing Derby' with prizes in both the adult and children's categories.

Another hotly contested activity is the 1 0'clock Shenanagins.

For those who love the 'trash talk', it's always fun to try to wrestle the cribbage bragging rights away from Jens Kaastrup.

There are even rumours of late night (early morning?) poker tournaments (unconfirmed by this writer!)

Camping is inexpensive and the club supplies Sunday breakfast for members.  You don't want to miss the Saturday evening pot luck!

If you're not a camper, you're more than welcome to join us for the day!

For directions to Hardendell Hall or for more information, email Glenn Pratt at: or call him at 403 343 3542

Vikings were campers too!
